Every year, about 2000 scientists from all over the world make their way here to work at the photon source DORIS III, PETRA III and FLASH. Some measuring stations at DORIS III are coordinated by the European Laboratory for Molecular Biology (EMBL), the Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht (HZG) and the GeoForschungsZentrum Potsdam (GFZ). HASYLAB has a close collaboration with the University of Hamburg.
HASYLAB users are not all from academic institutes - industrial companies, too, are making use of the facility
