After having received the beamtime applications of the project leaders, a preliminary schedule is made by the HASYLAB beamtime coordinators under certain constraints and in close contact between the users and relevant persons responsible for the experimental stations.
In case that the schedule is not as desired the project leaders should contact the beamtime coordinators. They try to find an alternative solution.
In case that no agreement can be found, the matter should be presented to the Project Review Panels (PRPs) or HASYLAB User Committee (HUC) for discussion. The committees will then give recommendations to the HASYLAB management.
Finally the HASYLAB management will announce the final beamtine schedule for the facilities (DORIS III, FLASH, and PETRA III) on the web. Please note that breakdowns of a facility or of the instrumentation do not lead to changes in beamtime distribution but will be taken into account for the next beamtime distribution.
Research groups should register all experimenters, update safety information, etc. before they perform experiments at HASYLAB/DESY.
