Nuclear Resonant and Inelastic Scattering Beamline
P01 is dedicated to Nuclear Resonant (NRS) and Inelastic X-ray scattering (IXS) experiments at energies between 5 keV and 70 keV. The beamline will offer high energy resolution in the range from 1 meV to about 1eV and high spatial resolution in the (sub-)micron regime. P01 is located in the north end of the experimental hall. The beam is supplied by undulators installed in the short straight North East. Potentially the undulators can be up to 20 m long in total, in the first phase two segments of 5 m length and a 32mm period each have been installed (October 2011). PETRA III Machine Parameters can be found using the external link to the right.
